The 2010 competition is over and we are very happy with the results. We received 6th overall, 4th in the sprint, and we are most proud of the “best electrical system design award” that we received for our work with electronic steering. Currently we are ramping up in preparation for the 2011 competition in Iowa with ideas for hydrofoils and better data monitoring.
Welcome to Solar Splash at Washington State University!
We are a group of students who work to design, build, and compete with a solar-electric boat for the International Solar Splash Competition held each summer. Our members come from a variety of academic disciplines and interests. Participants are able to grow in leadership, teamwork, and engineering skills while working hands-on to implement and test their designs.
